The company was founded in 1998 by Caroline Silva.  With years of medical billing experience and management already under her belt she was looking to start a home based business so she could be a stay at home working mother.

When Caroline started the company she provided services for Alternative specialties, Acupuncture, Massage Therapy and Chiropractic care. It was while she was doing this that her Midwife (who Caroline was currently seeing) mentioned she was having difficulty getting paid from insurance companies. Caroline offered to help and word soon spread throughout the Midwives. Soon Caroline realized she could combine her passion with her experience and specialize in Midwifery billing.

Maria joined the company in 2004 and with her dedication and hard work has helped grow Express Claims into an established company, which serves hundreds of women and Midwives. “She has a similar mindset to me which is if you’re going to do something, then do it wholeheartedly and do it right”

Express Claims has also now become a trusted authority in midwifery billing within the state of Florida and is sought after by many Midwives and expectant mothers for consultation. Over the years Caroline has also been asked to speak at various Midwifery events regarding this matter. The team at Express claims is constantly furthering their knowledge and keeps up to date with the latest industry changes. They continue to strive for the recognition and reimbursement that the Midwives deserve.

Both Caroline and Maria are fully versed in Florida laws pertaining to Health insurance claims and Midwifery coverage and are supporting members of MANA, AABC, FFOM, and MAF.
